At two years old, Dustin always loved it when we read to him. Sometimes, he would pretend that he is reading but the book is upside down. So I thought, how nice it would be if he was able to learn how to read early on and eventually, get to read any time with or without having to wait for anybody to read the words for him!
At that time, we visited my brother-in-law’s family in Australia. We saw how Kumon benefitted my nephew and niece. They were already in high school and elementary back then so I wasn’t really sure if Kumon would accept a student as young as my son since he was just a toddler back then.
Because of this, I started searching about Kumon in the internet and came across an advertisement from Kumon United Kingdom launching a program for toddlers. My hopes went up. That same week, I went to inquire at Kumon General Luna (Iloilo) Center and they scheduled a Diagnostic Test for Dustin. I was oh-so glad when the teacher informed us that Dustin is ready to be enrolled in the Reading Program.
Dustin was the youngest Kumon student in the Center when he first started there. He is showing no signs that he wants to stop.
After every Center day, he is just excited and always beaming with joy – thanks to the wonderful teachers at Kumon!
